suggestion for a visit to the bay
Hi everyone,
I will be going to the bay area the weekend of September 13th for my 5 year anniversary and to see the home opener for the 49ers. I am a season ticket holder for the 49ers. I just wanted to see if anyone could give me any suggestions on where to go and where to eat for my anniversary. I want to take her to some place that's nice for this occasion. Price doesn't matter as long as it's worth it. Thanks, I appreciate any input.

Gary Danko, but call ASAP. they get booked a month + in advance. Boulevard is also nice. the Waterfront & Scoma's are very good & right on the water/SF Bay, but food at Gary Danko & Boulevard are much better.
i'd go to GD if you can get a spot. it's one of the very few restaurants that lives up to the hype. portions are good & service is always excellent.
GO NINERS!!

There's plenty of good restaurants to eat at in SF but it might be too late to get a reservation unless you have a concierge service like AMEX. Sadly I have moved out of the city and lost touch with a lot of my restaurant co-workers so I cannot help with reservations, but if you have a type of cuisine you are interested in and a relative price range (<$100, $100-150, $150+..ect) I may be able to help find something for you. But again.. a lot of these good places are probably booked up.

Thanks for the heads up. I was kind of afraid of it being too late. Pretty much seafood and veggies stuff, we don't eat the meat. I'll look into those suggestions and see what I can find. Thanks again .

The $200+ places I'd suggest (but never had a chance to go to.. too expensive for me) Benu, Coi, Atelier Crenn. I believe those places will make you a great custom pescatarian menu. Quince should be able to do custom menus as well and has a $130 and a $190 option. Cheaper places will be like Waterbar which is part of the Michael Mina group, Gary Danko as stated above (they have a tasting as well (~$100/~$180 with wine), Sons and Daughters is tasting menu only (~$90/~$150 with wine). If you want sushi, Roka Akor is supposedly pretty good too.
