So I guess the laws in Downtown changed while I was gone at school this last time... I could have sworn that you used to be able to park at the meters for free on the weekends (at least a few years back when I worked down there).

Anyway, I got a parking ticket today for parking on the street - cuz every damn lot is filled due to construction everywhere.

In San Francisco the parking are enforce 6 days a week, 7 am to 6 pm. Did they write down the correct license plate number? If they did, its impossible to protest anything with the DPT.

I have many stories regarding the DPT, they just want the money. You don't want to waste your time protesting something that most likely they are going to prevail at the end, it'll just be a waste of your time. I grew up in the city and you don't want to know how much I've paid them since my first car.

i got the same ticket. apparently, some spots downtown san jose are not free on weekends. i have no idea when they started enforcing this. i went into kinkos for 5 minutes and came back with that ticket.
