Default stock v-tec not worling no cel

please help!!!! bone stock s2000 vtec not engaging. so I check the vtec solenoid, oil pressure, oil sensor, oil level and no dtc codes at all. its a ap1 and the rpm just revs even after 6.5k please help thank you

How did you check the Solenoid? Did you just take a ohm reading? did you activate it? did you check the oil filter/screen inside the solenoid? Check the spring?

Sounds like you bought an early model s2000 which had an optional "VTAK" feature for $10,000 premium.

So I think found the problem. I rigged up a homemade test light put power to the single wire vtec switch and ground straight to batt ground and test light came on after 6k rpm and vtec kick in. So I think it was a bad grind somewhere.
