Stereo/SWI-X/Faceplate questions
Ok so I'm considering starting this little project to replace my stock stereo with a Sony MDX-CA680 MD MDLP deck and am running into a couple questions still after sifting through some older threads on some of the topics.
1) Has anyone here done the PAC SWI-X hookup themselves and how easy is it?
2) I called crutchfield and they said that the stock deck is 2.5" tall and that standard is 2.0" and they don't sell a fitment bracket to compensate... is this true and if so, what is the solution?
3) I'm getting the deck through a friend and it's not returnable, but where have you guys gotten your SWI-X PAC units other than Lucid or Crutchfield... anywhere local that I might be able to get some decent service or someone to answer some questions should they arise?
thanks... posting it here instead of electronics cuz I thought local help might be better.
