Thats funny for my ticket the cop told me that just come on down by our chp station and that they will act as the new "ref" station. I just went today to the san jose CHP on junction and the guy was pretty cool, he signed off my exhaust and my intake. For the front plate he said zip ties were not cool though . Anyway good luck if you need any help give me a pm.

When you say he signed off your exhaust & intake - did you actually replace it with the stock one or did he sign off on the aftermarket ones? How would they know what is stock?

What if I had a Fujitsubu that was sprayed black...I dont think he would know.

I am taking auto class in skyline now, yes they said they closed most ref station. But at the same time, cops still giving ref tickets, so you will ended up with no where to go, and have to pay for the full fine, even worth now.

For the Intake it had a carb number the other cop that pulled me over was being an asshole and for the exhaust I put a different quieter exhaust but as soon as he saw he was like no way thats not stock, but when I was like how about I rev it for you. So I held it at 4500 and he said thats fine he knows that evos are loud anyway. Chill guy for sure. But honestly it can go both ways with the exhaust, but to put a stock one on and pay a 10 dollar fee is cake anyway.

Is this a Catch 22 - as usual?
