Last I checked, it hasn't turned into a fix it ticket for me yet; it's still telling me to go to the ref regardless of if there's a ref or not. Meaning, I still get screwed if I'm found driving my car to places other than home or work. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, let me know.

Who have you tried contacting after hearing the news about the ref? I'm curious as to who/what organization is responsible for taking care of these type of questions.

I've asked:
-CHP headquarters. They directed me to the Department of Consumer Affairs
-DCA. First time they told me I can't do anything but wait til the budget comes out. 2nd time, I was told to show up to my court date and ask for an extension
-2 officers on the street. 1 told me to wait, other said I can do anything but show up in court.

No state ref sucks...
