Spring Install - Recommended Shops?
Just got my DR21s. I know the install is supposed to be easy, but I don't have a garage. Dynospot Racing wanted $385 to do the install...ha. Anyone have any recommendations?

Where did you order your DR21s from and how long did shipping take? You bought the race springs right?
I would also like to know of any good shops to do spring installs. $385 is ridiculous. I'm guessing it should be around $85-100.

Fookin' hell I ordered the race springs over two months ago--they were supposed to be "in stock momentarily"....the container left Japan late, then it arrived off the coast of CA just in time for the dockworker strike to begin. Then they hit the dock and just sat there....finally made it to BulletProof and then to me today...now I find out that the install is $400, which is BS. I can't imagine it'd take longer than 2 hours for a novice with jackstands. A shop can prob. do it in 30-45 min.
Chris at bulletproofautomotive was cool and responded patiently to all of my "Where are my springs" emails and private messages. See if he's got any left--CJB80 is his S2Ki name.
I'll probably just end up doing the install in the street.

Damn, that sucks. That's what I hate about ordering parts from Japan. I don't think the spring install will be that hard to do, but won't you need a spring compressor?

Auto Innovations in Milpitas (956-8004) did my last few sets (on my previous and other cars) I do not believe it was THAT expensive $385? Ask for Orlando or Steve, thy should take good care of you. Even if its a little more expensive than expected, they do great work!

Thanks for the info, yu888....they're out of town 'till tomorrow...I'll give 'em a call then.
As for a spring compressor--I've heard that you don't need 'em for the S2000. I'd hate to get hit in the face with a 45mph spring perch, though.
