Default Spoon X Brace

Just wondering if anyone has any issues changing their oil, with a spoon x brace, and a standard oil bolt?

Would the fumoto drain valve help avoid the oil from getting all over the x brace, since it extends 3/4''?

Please chime in on opinions or better yet, if you have one, the other, or both!

Just do oil change as normal and wipe down the bar when done. not that big of a deal.

in the long run, wouldn't the oil eat away the bar?

your trippin. why would it eat up the X brace when oil protects the motor from harsh conditions. unless your unless your using acid for engine oil then yeah. just don't be lazy and not wipe up the oil from the brace dawg!

lol. do you even know how it mounts? did you even SEE where the bolt is when the x brace is mounted?

and as you said the oil protects the motor, but the motor isn't painted now is it?

Just use a small funnel to guide it to the opposite direction to avoid oil from getting all over your bar

If you are really concerned about the oil getting on the brace, just get the Fumoto drain valve with the extension on it and then you can just attach a small hose to it.

at this point, that's the only solution T_T or hope that the extension reaches over the brace.

is there some sort of protectant i can put on there ?

It's not that big of a deal. lol. I ran the x brace for awhile and did my oil changes right over it, just wiped it up and cleaned it afterwards. No problem. if you're really that worried, then just use a funnel to catch it.

Paul, youre tripping...hahahaha

The bar is already jacked up from rust, just sand blast it, primer & paint. When you do oil changes wipe it down. The oil will not destroy the finish or the bar for the few minutes it drips on it. Besides, after you restore the condition of the bar, it will be more subject to wear/damages from being on the road more than anything.
