take an online traffic school (3 hours with music and just clicking + common sense) and you'll be done with no affect on insurance... just don't get another ticket in 13 months haha.

Agreed! Just take traffic school and pay the fine. No hit to your insurance if you haven't got a ticket within 13 months. If you have the time, you could go to court and plead no contest. The judge might reduce the fine especially if this is your first offense. Unfortunately you have to spend the time and sit through the court proceeding process which could be a 4-5 hour ordeal.
