speeding ticket on Foothill Expressway
*sigh* Got my first ticket on the s2k today. Ticket was written for going 70 on a "safe speed" limit of 50, cvc 22350.
I am thinking of using Ticket Assassin, but I don't want to lose the ability to go to traffic school to erase the point on the record. Did a search, but I did not find any definitive answers about if anyone who had lost the fight also was denied traffic school. The CVC codes use the word "may", so that wasn't any help.
Does anyone have any answers?
watch out for those cops on Foothill!

where on foothill? That place is like drag heaven to some people. I work near foothill/pagemill and sometimes you can hear the cars/bikes revvin for their races...

I was caught pulling out of Edith onto Foothill (near San Antonio) going north. It was a motorcycle cop parked in the center median.
The engine had just warmed up to 3 bars. How could I have not Vtec'ed on such a nice road?

I was in the same situation a couple months ago. On my way to an auto-X event, I got my first speeding ticket in Merced county - wrote me up for 90 in a 65 limit. I was determined to fight it 100% with ticket assassin, but in the end, I backed out because someone told me if you fight and lose, you could lose your right to traffic school. I think I posted a couple threads about it back then, and I also didn't get any definite answers. I think it really depends on the court and the judge. My insurance is already high enough for me....another reason why I just decided to pay the ticket. My ticket was about $130.
Good luck

From an insurance standpoint, you save so much by not having the points on your record, it is likely earier and cheaper to take the traffic school option. Online is totally easy, and takes much less than the "posted" time
