Fun day very hot
Best spot to sit was at the top or turn 2 I believe. If you could park there do it
Bring lots of water
Too bad Andre couldn't get pass the m3. He was on his ass the entire race

Here are some quick photos I snapped around the paddock. Whenever I took a photo of Alan's (bunta_garage) car my camera seemed switch into an early 90s mode for some reason.

Thanks again to Evasive & Speed Freaks for organizing yesterday. We had a lot of fun!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Blacktrax Performance S2000 "Irene" sets the overall fastest time attack lap at Sonoma Raceway during the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) time attack exhibition event, presented by the FIA and Evasive.
Irene was piloted on Sunday September 8, 2013 by three-time NASA Honda Challenge National Champion, Graham Downey. This marked the first time that Downey had ever driven the car, as well as his first time on Hankook Ventus TD tires.
The time attack format was also incredibly short. Drivers were given only one warm up lap and two hot laps before a cool down. Despite these odds, Downey still managed to set a BLISTERING laptime of 1:56.934, more than THREE SECONDS faster than second place (Kevin Pankhurst in the EDGE Motorworks E36 M3 with a time of 2:00.159) and third place (Robert Walker in the Evasive Motorsports S2000 with a time of 2:01.185).
We can only imagine what Downey and "Irene" could have accomplished together, had they been given just a few more laps...but needless to say, we're thrilled with the results!

I had a great time. Saw some good last lap action with the CT3 cup leaders at the chicane. Lots of good looking cars. I'm gonna go again next year if they come back.

It was great to see a lot of you at the event. Wish I had more time kick it with you all. Nice pictures Andrew! Vu, that paint is GOLDEN under the sun . Anish and Alan your vinyl work looks awesome! The 3 cars that we supported with tuning and setup all did really well yesterday. Good times!
