My friend does this. He's been to a few of the meets (called himself Queef). He gets paid for SH!T for what the danger is. But according to him, it is not as much the height as the electricity issues. He get's $25/hr and has to drive his own truck around. He does get $.55/mile so he ends up making about $30/hr. $30/hr is decent, but not for hanging like a monkey hundreds of feet in the air.
He repairs the towers along the Livermore windmills so he has all the codes to the gates. That is a great place where one can fire 49 state weapons... if one were so inclined.

Am I crazy if I think that would be kinda cool if I could climb one one day? Then again, getting certified to skydive is one of the things I want to do. I'd like to get paid to climb one of those if I was allowed to base jump off it afterward
