I guess people have different ideas of what the "hood," not like it matters.

Different areas have different types of crimes. SFPD website has crime statistics listed by areas for your perusal.

Bottomline, the Sunset is not a safe place to park your car at night.

Wow. I have street parked in Sunset alot in the past.
Not the hood by a long shot, at least the parts I was in.

Guess the S belongs in a garage when not being driven. Pretty sad.

I personally wouldn't park any car that I cared about outside regardless of the area.

what kind of thief spends their time taking side markers and emblems? does this mean your title will be salvaged because of theft? all those things are gonna add up to a lot of money...

Haha you guys act like the sunset is the hood...
i dunno if you noticed, but a lot of the theft postings in BA forum happen to occur in the Sunset... not meaning to be discriminatory or anything.. but there's a bunch of ricers/teenagers in that area that all want crap they can't afford...

Sunset is actually a nice area. My ex lives there and I never had any problems in the past when I drove my Prelude. But I guess you can't compare a S2000 with a Prelude. Anyhow, I still drive to Irving/19th with my S and have never had this problem. *knock on wood*

Maybe someone was following you or knew you were away for dinner. Hope insurance covers everything bro.
