Default Someone tried to steal my hardtop!

Man i woke up this morning to find out someone tried to break into my car to steal my hardtop. They damaged the exterior metal trimming around the windshield area when they were trying to pry my window open. They also damaged my window so now theres a gap even when i fully roll it up. Now rain is gonna poor into it all week -.-

What i don't understand is how they managed to open my hood to cut my alarm wires and unhook my battery. I know they don't have the alarm remote or the key because they wouldn't have to pry the window open.

I don't know what to do.

sorry to hear that they probably found a way to pull your latch to pop it open.

Damn that sucks... What part of the bay area did you park at? They probably got to your hood at the fender liner and just pulled the release latch... you might consider relocating it. sorry to hear about your incident hopefully insurance can take care of it.

Wow... I hope that you can get the window fixed soon. Didn't know about the fender liner trick, I hope that my car is too low for them to get under there -.- Best of luck

I parked in front of my house in hayward. I didnt know there was a release latch at the fender liner. Unless you meant the latch you normally use to open it right in the center of the hood. Not sure what latch you're talking about otherwise.

@squirtle: My car is actually pretty low >.<

Thanks for the input and support guys.

the cable is located along the side of the driver side fender, yo can relocate by running it through the fenders.

1) Call the cops
2) Call the insurance company

I guess I'm confused, unless this is a rhetorical question.
