im gonna try to help him do a compression test and a good look over of the car this weekend. does anyone know if any shops are open on saturday? and is anyone able to help out with a good inspection? and what are some other things we should be looking for?

ill probably help him to a valve adjustment after he buys the car, but before buying im thinking:
listen for valve problems, compression test, inspect linkages, arms, signs of modifications... just a general inspection of the car. what else?
