Hmm.... if I plan to stay in a spot for a while, I make sure that nobody sees me when I get into the car. I also make sure my lights are turned off and my foot is not on the brake. This way, I am a bit more "stealthy" and people pass my car up without even realizing that I am there.

You handled it really well man - KUDOS to you - not sure what I would have done but I agree it's best to be nice to neighbors....
