u got it easy comapred to me they gave me a new sun roof. but anyways i went to ummm mr stitch in san mateo, normal he quotes 58dollars an hour for stitch and repair, but mine was cut from the middle to the frame so it was a bit of extra work and he quoted me 65 dollars an hour for half a day, from 9am -3pm. insurance is gonna replace the top for me for 1800 with new softtop. thats soft top and labor and as sick as a hardtop is its summer time and im not trying to drive around with big ass stitch marks on my car.

DANG sorry to hear about that Gary - damn haters and idiots.....!

Getting a hardtop is not really a solution for those of us who actually enjoy going topless which is the MAIN reason I think people buy s2000's correct? haha

San Jose has both nice and questionable areas so guess it's just a matter of luck sometimes....

Hope you get it replaced since any repair job is noticeable I would think.

sorry to hear. This has been my biggest fear of owning a soft top, fortunately my parking at home and work are both secure and I've been very picky where I park and where I go when I take my S.
