I wonder...what if I don't pull up to the curb? what if I just stop on the street? it's 2 lanes in each direction plus the curb, and there's very little traffic at that time in the morning. I wouldn't be stopped in the bus zone, and I wouldn't be considered to be double parked, since my engine is running and I'm in the car, right? I guess one way to find out...

My wife was ticketed for standing at LAX. She was there to pick up her sister and the cop told her to keep going. She saw here sister walking to the car from the terminal so she tried to shout to her that she had to come around again and the cop was a jerk and wrote her a ticket.

Needless to say even though she broke the 'letter of the law' she still won in court because this cop was an ahole.
