i forgot who it was but they successfully got it on by themself

You can def replace the top yourself (much easier if you buy a used top with the frame and all). Took me about 5-6 hours with minimal help and a helm's manual.

Let me know if you need pointers.

another shocking crap.. woke up this morning.. went outside to check the car.. what do i see??! two more slashes! and a soaked passenger seat! mann.. it bites not having a garage..

have u tried applying some duct tape??? looks ugly but beats having a wet interior
