Anyone have shop recommendations for getting my soft top replaced?
I've got a quote from a local shop in SJ, which isn't too bad, but wanted to shop around a little bit before I pull the trigger.

If any local s2ki-er's have experience replacing the top and are down to hook a fellow member up ($$ plus dinner?), I'm all up for helping

Thanks man, lot of good information on there. I'm looking for a shop to do this, as I've read the DIY's and the manual but it's just a very long and tedious job that I will surely mess up... hahaha

Looks like most shops are quoting around 8 hours of labor... Is that about right for a professional shop?

 

Contact Mike (s2k_born). He did mine and my top looks like a million bucks! Rates were very fair as well and he's a cool dude to hang out with.

My soft top is falling apart and even though I drive top down almost exclusively, rain season is coming soon and I need a complete replacement

 

I got one estimate of $1500 in a shop in S Van Ness, was wondering if there are better prices, esp in a shop that has a lot of experience with s2ks

Mike did the soft top for me twice on 2 different cars, both jobs were excellent and I recommend him to anyone in the Bay Area for soft top replacement.

 

I haven't worked with Mike (s2k_born) but I've seen his work and it is top notch.
