yeah if charles wants to take it off then that'll be cool with me. It's the reinstalling that would scare me. Maybe we can get a deal with Terrance

Nope it should take 2 hours to remove all the trim pieces and the top. Not really that hard, just take your time and drink plenty of beer to make sure you don't break anything. The plastic covers for the stock roll hoop covers will be a pain to get back together. Good luck with that part.

Honda will send this project out usually to a top specialist. It'll probably cost around $500 to replace everything including parts and labor. The same fricking thing happened to mine while I was lowering it. Pissed me off to.

I still need to get it replaced.

There is no need to break the roll hoop covers apart. Just takes a little extra work and you can remove the roll hoops all in one piece.

BTW, a friend and I took out a 01 top and replaced it with a 03 top in 4.5 hrs from start to finish. If you need any help with anything pm me and I will help you out.

part of it zips up....unlike the MY02+ glass tops the plastic can be replaced without replacing the entire top. There is a better picture in the Helm manual but here's an example from hondaautomotiveparts.com

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...=SOFT+TOP+CLOTH

it's part number 6 and costs $174.60
