Default So not even 2 months with my s2k and I get my first ticket....

So I was doing my daily commute in the sunset of san francisco and this cop sees me and follows me immediately. I'm cool so I just drive normally with my complete stops. Next thing you know the cop turns on his lights and pulls me over. I sit there thinking "what da heck did I do?" He comes up and tells me that i'm cited for no front plates. I can't believe it so he then has the nerve to ask me what day is it today and I told him "tuesday" he goes "YES! PAY DAY!" I stare at him pissed as ever. He then tells me "ow by the way happy birthday" but anyways I'll just get one of the cops to sign off my ticket but dang I couldn't believe the nerve. Any of you guys had this problem in san francisco. Being pulled over for not having your front plates?

Cupertino, too...the Sheriff had to flip a U-turn on the two-lane road by Stevens Creek Reservoir to get me. The officer that signed off my ticket told me that at least the Sheriffs were instructed to get more people w/o front plates in Cupertino, since Cupertino has several red-light cameras (not as effective w/o front plates).

thanks for the reply guys but I'm still going to be driving without my front plates. Only thing however is if I get pulled over again I'm going to speak up. I'm going to tell them while laughing, "so you're going to pull me over and waste your time while there's more crimes, rape, robbery, etc. going on at this very moment that you should be taking care of" I wonder what's that gonna cost me if I say that. I was told to say that from my cop friend.

Going on 7 months.....

Friends and Family: "Wow.. you don't have you plates?"
Me: "No... I do, they're in the trunk."
Friends and Family: "Why in the trunk?"
Me: "No back plate... no ticket for no front plate"

yes, the thingy is still on my windshield.

I heard the fine is pretty steep for getting caught in SF without front plates...

Don't keep the plate on the windshield because it can be a flying projectile if you get into an accident. The fine for a "no front plate" ticket in Frisco is $100. If you have a pig sign it off for you, it will be only $10. I have had 3 "no front plate" tickets since having my S for 2 years; yet, I will still continue driving without one, since $10 is well worth the vanity. Damn them fat a$$ pigs meeting their quotas.

Dang, the nerve of that cop to be crackin' dumb payday jokes. What a lil' mark ass. One of these days, I wanna run up on parked 5-0 rides around town and snag all their front plates

Yeah so I got my ticket signed off today and paid 10 bucks. I'm still going to be driving without my front plates. But I'm still thinking about getting euro plates on my car if I get played and pulled over hella times in the future... but for now no plates is the best way to go.
