So I got rear ended today.
I was driving to my granda ma's around 6:30 pm. She lives in Modesto, and I had just got into the city, on Briggsmore drive. The light had turned yellow, and I could have made it through without running the red but I decided to stop, so medium amount of breaking to stop. Just as I stop to the crosswalk line, my sister says" you could have made it" and the next second "SSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCCCRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAACCCCCCCCCCCCHH HHHHHHHH!" Bam! Some lady in the first lane wasn't paying attention, slammed her brakes, swerved into my second lane, and rear ended me. Thankfully, I didn't have my breaks on, as is the usually case (my car in neutral at the light) so when she hit me, instead of crushing my bumper, my car jumped a couple of feet forward(like 6-8). Since I didn't have my brakes on, I ended up with a semi serious vertical dent on the left side of my bumper, a horizontal very shallow (if at all) dent right next to the license plate, and a 3mm paint chip where her license plate hit next to my license plate. I'll post pictures tomorrow (camera's in the car). My back's a bit sore too

Oh yea, no one was hurt, not seriously at least. My older sis was with me in the car, and her shoulder is bothering her. Were going to the doctor together first thing tomorrow morning. The lady had a billion children in her car (like 4) They were in an old school dodge van, with a flat front end. She was from Oregon, and she did have insurance =)

Good thing you're ok.
It's a good habbit to glance in your rearview mirror while stopping and when stopped just for that reason.
I almost got ran over on my motorcycle. Old lady just cruised right through the red light in my lane on Stevens Creek. If I hadn't been paying attention and moved out of her way I'd probably be dead.

man, the gods of honda are sending us all a message, go out and buy a ferrari and save yourselves
next we are going to see a thread of someone being abducted by aliens while driving, and getting violated, waking up in bed, pants unbuttoned, with the feeling of an anal UHF Transmitter. beware
