Default Smog Check

Well I got my registration renewal notice and it is time for me to smog check the car. Man 5 years go by quick. Is there a smog check nearby in East Bay you all recommend? BTW my car should pass with no problem. I have no emission hampering mods.

Thanks in advance!

Since you brought this up...does anyone know if my S will pass visual inspection for a smog check. I have the AEM CAI intake. It's smog legal, but I bought it used w/o the sticker so I don't have proof that its 50 state legal.

I really don't want to put my stock intake back in just for this smog test.

The sticker should be on the intake arm.

im in the same boat as you, and last time i got a smog, the guy was cool and said he knew it was aem so he let me pass. but i can't rely on that all the time so i gotta get my sticker too.

i heard you can call aem and they'll ask you to take the car somewhere to get a visual, and if they confirm it's aem, they'll mail you a sticker. i've been wanting to call aem up for the longest time, but i'm just too lazy. i'll have to do it soon 'cause my car is up for smog this year.

I have a guy in Fremont that does my checks with no issues at all! He's also a car guy

They did my m3 last time with no issues (not that it won't pass...haha)

More worried about my s2000 with the blower when the time arrives.

I ususally smog my car @ my local gas station. Been going there for years on all my cars and never had a problem. I had the CAI for a little over a year and I'm sure the Asian FOB that does the smog does not know that AEM is legal. I guess I can ask before I get it done @ there shop. Just hope they don't dick me. Or I can get my lazy ass and e-mail or call AEM.

You can order the sticker from AEM. That's what I did.

How much did they charge you Steve? And I went to their website and can't find the sticker. Can you link me or do I have to call them directly? Thanks.
