Elk Grove Honda is where a few people have gone. Last I heard it was ~$530 for labor. Elk Grove is close to Sacremento. This is probably a bit of a drive for you. Additionally, they will want the car for 2 business days. Hope that helps. I have searched for someone local to the Bay area to do this install.

Asura is right on with the price.
I drove my car out to Sac. dropped it off and picked up a rental car for a long weekend.
Although 530 is a little steep with the price of the gears dropping I would think it's definatly worth it.
We are still in search of a local mechanic who can do the work...

Here are a few places that i found...

Ad-Tech Transmission Spec 637 N 13th St San Jose, CA (408) 998-5523.
CME Automotive, Kerry Kernohan, owner. 707-447-5769. 536 Merchant Street, Vacaville, CA 95688.
Gear Master, 222 Keys Street - unit 111, San Jose (408) 971-7505.
River City Differentials, 3459 Sunrise Blvd, Suite 3, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 (916) 852-7109.
Schuck's Transmission and Clutches 6443 Golden Gate Dr. Dublin, 94568. (510) 828-9699.

I honestly don't even know where some of these places are...but they might be able to help you out.
Let us know!
