Left = Port = US Driver's side
Right = Starboard = US Passenger's side

My driver's side broke as well when I was drying the car. Took it in to the dealer, they told me it WAS NOT under warranty, since I broke it.
I had the same problem of them being back ordered.

My passenger side broke last week and Honda told me the same thing. It is on backorder. I have used some silicon gell to hold the old one in place. I just hope the OEM comes in soon.
