Default Shops/individuals with experience installing MRacing mirrors

Does anyone in the Bay Area have experience installing MRacing mirrors properly? (see image below)

I had the shop that did my paint and body work install the mirrors and I'm not satisfied. The mirrors are not stable at speed and they are difficult to adjust. To the shop's credit, it provided me with a new set of rubber triangles so I could give it a shot.

I'd appreciate your recommendations - thanks!

How did you cover the holes from the OEM mirrors?

The above photo is not my car - it's from the MRacing mirror thread. The body shop filled and painted over the holes.

if not stable at speeds, you need to tighten the 3 screws that hold the ball. It will be difficult to adjust at first, but once you get the view perfect, tighten the screws down. I have Mracing and they've been perfect. I used a 1/4" ratcheting wrench with a 1/4" Philips head bit.

Noodler, thanks for the tip, but I've already tried that. One of the three screws is not accessible via the ratchet wrench and on the passenger side, one bolt that holds the mirror spins freely. Both mirrors definitely need to be reinstalled.

We just installed a set - you need a specialty tool to reach the inner ones. No issue with our setup once installed correctly.

Is it an issue of the adjustors not being tight enough of them mirror stem not being mounted securely? It seems like most people have had good luck with MRacing mirrors.

I am beyond trying to troubleshoot it - I even had Blacktrax take a look at it during my last visit. The mirrors need to be reinstalled properly, period.

you need to loosen the 2 you can easily tighten when it's in position. move the mirror so that the hardest one is accessible then tighten it. Position the mirror and tighten the last 2.

Also check and make sure the base is tight to the mirror's arm, if it is loose, it can pivot. you can see the flat spots on the arm between the two allen screws. hold it and tighten the nut/bolt behind it.
