Yea the Elise was real nice. I got to follow him through about 25 miles of twisties. We also had a Lotus Exige out with us. It had an S2000 engine (well it looked like one) and a Turbo. It was insanely fast .

Think of 300+HP in a car weighing somewhere close to 1100 pounds.

A Vid of the Exige

The Elise and Exige twins weight somewhere between 1500 and 2000, i think. Not 1100. Still an amazing car though...

Was the Elise with you guys one of the new ones (with the Toyota Motor)?

I saw one on the freeway last week, sooooo sexy. The thing is so small it makes the S feel like an SUV.

if and when i get an elise, i want to stick a honda s2000 F20C engine in it. it's pretty dang fast stock but i think it would be hair-raising, pee-in-your pants fast with a 240+ hp engine.

here's a company that has a Honda K20A conversion available but no F20C yet:

^ I'd rather have a K series motor, it's easier to make big power out of a K series, plus there is no FWD tranny that bolts up to the F20C, so you aren't gonna see a conversion kit for it...

Plus, everyone knows the F22C rules!
