well theres cable cars and there are trolleys. if youre asking about cable cars there are 3 lines, California, Powell&Hyde and Powell&Mason. the California line runs over Nob Hill on California St, the other 2 lines starts on Powell St @ Union Square/Downtown. the Mason line drops you off at Fishermans Warf while the Hyde line goes over Russian Hill right by Lombard St aka crookedest street and drops you off @ Ghirardelli Square. as for trolleys they run along the water front on Embarcadero and up and down Market St through Union Square/Downtown.

tonight is the chinese new year parade. i think it starts somewhere in chinatown and ends up in union square?

If you're in the service, don't forget to visit Fort Point, which is right underneath the Golden Gate Bridge on the SF side. Very cool spot and lots of history there.
