I will be in SF for the weekend, going to visit Alcatraz on Saturday morning. However I am looking for insights or any good ideas on sites to visit. Thanks

Look up twin peaks for your view. But if it's foggy you won't see anything lol

You can walk/bike accrooss the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a good view of the city from the other side.

BiRite ice cream is good. There is also Mitchell's ice cream. Both good.

Tony's Pizza Napoletana on Stockton St. Grub!
I always like to go across the GG to the Marin side, you hang a right as soon as you get off the bridge. The road wraps under the freeway and goes up to the old bunkers. Kinda cool to walk around. Has a great vista point view of the bridge and the city etc... you can follow that road along the coast as well. Lots of weird bunkers, turret towers etc along the way.

i recommend parking at the Sports Basement next to Crissy field, rent a bike and bike across the Golden Gate to Sausalito. then take the ferry to San Francisco Ferry Building and bike along the water front through Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, Fort Mason and back to the Crissy Field to your car.
