i was fortunate enough to work on this project during construction, and its as nice to see it in the making.

the price is well worth it. like the others said the free days you will spend along time in line

it's cool, ive been there a handful of times... currently if you're from san francisco, you might be eligible for the museum free days which basically means that depending on what district you live in, you are able to go for free on certain weekends... i know this past weekend was the mission/excelcisor districts... sunset already passed...

as for the museum, you can save $5 by just pressing the "student" button.. i asked the guy where do i show my college ID for the student pass? and he goes oh well, that's the only flaw in the system, you cant... so if you can pass as a student, just buy that lol. it's lik $20 instead of $25

as for nightlife on thursdays, it's pretty cool.. cool crowd but SUPER SUPER packed, WAY more packed then a sunday (busiest day of the week, trust me i know, i work at that hot dog stand on sundays on JFK and hawigara tea garden dr).. but you wont be able to make the rain forest if you go at like around 7 or 8 because they use natural sun light, and the sun goes down by then in which the rain forest is closed... the planetarium is sold out within the first hour..

my suggestions are, if you decide to go on a weekend, go EARLY.. the planetarium will get sold out quick..

if it's a normal weekday, then nothing really much to worry about..
