Thumbs up Seat Lowering

So, I bought my S about two months ago and absolutely love driving it (its my DD), but my major complaint is the headroom with the top up, I am about 6"3", skinny build. I have read a bunch of the seat lowering threads and it seems the two options are: Cut into the seat foam and do a bunch of drilling and only get about an 1" lower. Also I could get aftermarket seats, but I really can't afford that and prefer the stock seats. I am wondering if anyone here has any ideas of a way to lower the stock seat, and still be able to retun it back to stock position in the event I sell it in the future... Thanks for the help guys... Also is there any shop in the bay area that could do this sort of mod for a reasonable proce....

i did the redrill and cushion cutting..... i love it!!! im 6'3" also and now im sunk in the seat. also, the seat lowered 1" from original position + another 1 or 2" by cutting the foam.... i drove for about 200 miles today and i love how im sunk in the seat and i can notice the difference, my head is about an inch lower from the roll hoop now hahaha.

Cool, thanks so much guys, I think I may try the bulletproof rails and see if that does enough, the 1" just might do the trick, otherwise maybe I'll have to go with the cushion cutting, anyone here tried the bulletproof rails, I saw one person on that thread that has, anyone else, just want to make sure they are good quality and will bold right up with no modifications to the seat..

I ordered the backyard special lowering rails for the oem seats, they're not going to get here until the end of next month though, macr88, do you know if the rails on the above webpage are for oem, i think they're only for aftermarket seats....
