Sears POINT WED 7/3/2002 DRAGS Anyone interested in joining
WE didn't get to go last week because the track was closed. However, I called to assure that it will be open. So my friends and I are going.. Any one interested?

I don't know if I can make it this wed or not, but I have been wanting to go to a drag strip for a while, but I want someone to go with (this is my first time). I don't have a S2k, but I love them alot. I am interested if you can at some point give me advanced notice I can get the day off.

no probs. Its actually every wednesday. But I hardly know, it's just that I'm curious on how fast i can drive my s2k. How far is san leandro?

it basically starts at 7:00pm for those who come late, it's just that you don't get practice runs. But if you can make it that'll be cool. I'm going up there with some friends who are also curious about their cars: 2 s2ooo's, the second generation rx-7 turbo, Integra turbo, 98 Honda Prelude, 2002 Wrx, and a Chevy Camaro SS. If you're thinking about showing up email me and I'll give you my cell so u can call us when u get there.

san leandro is around 30 miles from downtown san jose, its very close to union city/hayward on 880. I am on the hayward side of san leandro.
It seems like a lot of fun. I think I may need to check it out as a spectator first to see how it runs.

I'm happy with my results... There were a couple of s2k there but I was the fastest one there!!! Hee Hee. The other s2k ran pretty embarrassing times. Anyhow Happy 4th of July everyone

I went with Kevin and watched him drive, I will say he is a great driver. It was my first time ever going to a track in any car. My times were pretty bad. I am banned from RX7club.com until i get more appropriate times, LOL.
BTW....I am going on Wednesday 7/10/2002. I am taking the day off so I will get there early for practice runs. If anyone wants to join me, send me a PM and we can get together.
