how do you prove they are yours? I know it's 99% they are... but that doesn't hold up in court
The only way to prove they are yours is the manufacturing date on the wheels. I'm still looking for my Volk GT-P's everyday and the one thing that I'm looking for most is the date the wheels were manufactured.

You might not be able to prove this person stole them but you can still get them on possession of stolen property.

That's the thing, how do you PROVE they were stolen. Remember, you are innocent until PROVEN guilty, not the other way around.

I'm not trying to say this guy didn't steal the OP's wheels, it sure as hell looks like it to me. But how do you PROVE that it happened? So, I can go and post a thread about some wheels that were stolen, say they're mine, and that makes them mine? Doesn't work like that.

Maybe manufacturer dates.. but what does that prove? That this guy "bought" the same wheels at the same time as you? There's no hard evidence that he stole them, that's what I'm getting at. It's all speculation, and that doesn't hold up (almost) ever in court/justice system

id keep that in mind. next time if i buy wheels ill etch my name on it see what happens if it gets stolen.

i could not think of how you can prove the wheels are yours. and if they are, hopefully you get em back.

Only way to do it:

Roll with a bunch of friends. Meet in public. Check them out. Proceed to load them into your car. Drive away.

How would you know they were your wheels? What if you just stole from an innocent person? Now you're the thief? Or does it even matter since you have "your wheels" back?

So? That does nothing. It just shows you had wheels stolen. It doesn't give ANY information on the wheels. Unless the OP did give serial numbers and shit... then there is no real proof. It's all speculation. Why do you think thieves get away with what they do? Most of the time there's no hard evidence to prove they are guilty, even if they are, so they walk.
