Default Scammers Suck!

I've been looking for a used car and found one on Ebay. I write to the guy and ask what price is he looking for. So he writes back and emails me that he has 2 other offers and would sell it to me. I would not buy it if he wasn't local (San Jose) and I ask to come over to look at it. He also removed the Ebay listing and here is his reply.

---------------------
Conway-

I have removed the listing as, like mentioned before, I already have a
potential buyer who asked me to do that. I will send you the pics again
though together with the description. I work as technical representative for
the the sales dept. at Granite Construction and I travel a lot with the
sales team around the US and Canada (now in Nevada actually), and my busy
schedule doesn't allow me to set up a meeting with you anytime soon to hand
over the car or anything as we still have lots of states left to cover.

I don't want to offend you in any way but if we are going to complete this
sale we will use the Ebay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program which covers
purchases up to $20,000. The price I am looking for is $8,300, including
shipping to your location. You will need to send me your full name and
shipping address so I can register our transaction with ebay. Next, eBay
Motors will send you the invoice. You will then need to wire the money to
their bank account and I will ship the car to your door at my expense via
DAS autoshipper (http://www.dasautoshippers.com/). Upon receipt of the car
you will have three days to test it out before confirming to eBay that the
vehicle is in order and you accept it. I will then transfer the title to
your ownership and ebay will release the funds to my account. If you do not
accept the car eBay will refund your bank account and you will return the
car to me, in the same way, at my expense.

Let me know if this suits you.

Dan

seems pretty shady... I don't see the benefit of removing a posting from ebay if he is just going to go through and use their process/insurance anyway...
