For those that live in San Francisco or for those who care to share...


Is there anything wrong with calling San francisco just "Frisco?" I've lived in the City all my life and have never heard of anyone taking offense to calling San Francisco just Firsco.

Also, do you guys care if people call California just "Cali?"

 

yes.... you should only refer to it as SUCKA FREE.

 

all my younger years it was frisco..until rappin 4-tay came up and they started calling it the sucka free to fight the gay stereotypes that doesn't sell with hard core hip hop...


but for me its da CITY

 

personally i hate when people say Cali... even worse when they spell it Kali. To me, that was cool in Jr. High.

I don't have any opinion on 'frisco.... but, like Richard, I just say "the city"... unless I'm talking to someone from outta state... then I say San Francisco.

 

People don't even say "Frisco" anymore.. now it's just "sko." I don't like this whole slang thing... I never call California just "Cali"

frisco has always been more of a city term. when i would go to highschool, people would look at me weird. well. at all of the guys weird.. you know which guys im talking about jae.

 

Frisco was a term i used a lot in hs (and i have heard that SF natives don't like it when SF is called "frisco" "frisko" or whatever).. but now i refer to it as the city..

 

to me it is just a big $%(#HOLE surrounding MARKET STREET CINEMA.. come one people
