Saw a new GTR
In HK for a 2 week vaca right now. Saw a brand new Black GTR stopped at an intersection while I was crossing in another car. Unfortunately no pix. All I can say is that the magazines do not do the car justice. It has a lot of "presence" and it is big. Suffice to say a lot of pedestrians were looking at it. The only one I saw in the city so far.

Waitlist at Nissan on Steven Creek is not very reliable. It is not a true waitlist as they refuse to take my deposit saying they want the process to be "fair". So I'm not that hopeful, have instead started to look at getting one from Florida instead. But if the wife doesn't agree, I won't have one until the second year when the price is closer to MSRP :-)

I have a friend who works at a Nissan dealership and he told me expect to pay around 90-100k for one. Thats a huge premium over msrp isnt it? Anyway he seems very confident that he will sell them at that price and even told me they have deposits.

No GTR will be sold at MSRP for now at least.....big hot topic but especially dealers in CA such as Stevens Creek. Why would they sell to you for MSRP? It's like handing you a $30k check for free! They know the car's market price so unless there is some special relationship there.......
GTR's are decent cars at MSRP but at $90k-100k, you can buy almost anything you want!
