they make remotes for the lower end Nikon's (no offense Jeff, really).
canon makes only one style remote and the damn thing is ripoff.
You can't get any "cheap" wireless for the 40D's and up though with Canon... again, at least not one that I've heard about. (Mac, maybe you've seen one, but I haven't?)

no worries very well aware my camera's actually getting outdated and at the bottom of the pack now.
I actually found a pretty decent deal on a Mark II... not sure if I'll take it though only because I need other things first and my 20D still works just fine

Then I found some wired ones running $20 shipped for a generic brand..and they look like old school technology. You know the radios where you have to pull out the antenna. Anyways, no need for a wired one since I can use the timer.
Will keep looking though.
