I'll try to stay in the loop, thanks.
One note though, several in this group need to slow down on hwy 17. I'm talking 30mph faster than the flow in the fast lane, so 80+mph in a 50mph zone. Passing on the right, tailgating, unsafe lane changes, general reckless driving. These actions congested and slowed traffic for everyone, including your friends.
When it's one or two similar cars, it's one thing. When it's 20 cars in the group, it really stands out, and it reflects poorly on all of us. It would really be a shame if someone gets hurt.

Certainly doesn't look good on the s2k community.

ugh. I was driving the minivan with the kids.
I'm glad to see the replies, I was afraid my comments would be dismissed and flamed by a bunch of tuner punks. But I expect to get flamed for the minivan...
Thanks guys.

While I agree with some of your statements, I also find your statement a bit exaggerated. First off , there weren't 20 S's zooming in and out and second I wonder how you came to the 80+ over 50 mile zone speed while you were driving a minivan?

You're more politically correct. I had a similar response which I deleted.

Sounds like you were there. How many cars were there? definitely more than 12. If I say 15, will you accept it?
I was in the #1 lane, traffic was going 50-60mph before your group came up to where I was.
The first 5 or so cars went past on the right like we were standing still. I've been commuting on 17 for 12 years, when I'm going 60 and a car flies past, what speed should I estimate? How about 75mph. Will you accept that? This first group was driving the most dangerous. They were the ones changing lanes the most unsafely and slowing down traffic.
The next group, 5 to 10 cars, then weaved through the congested traffic, always passing on the right, tailgating, and going faster than traffic, even as the #1 lane got up to 60.
The last group of cars drove more safely, but they still were driving faster than traffic, they were still passing on the right, and they were still pushing it when they changed back into the #1 lane to pass slower traffic in the #2 lane. In the absence of groups 1 and 2, group 3 would have just been a group driving a bit fast. But all 3 groups in the space of 3 minutes really stood out.

You agree with the bottom line, don't dismiss it all over a difference of 5 mph or 5 cars.

I was in the middle group so I guess I was better than some but worse than others. LOL

I believe we acknowledged/agreed with your feedback and that we were all driving faster than the speed limit but I'd have to agree that you seemed to be exagerating a bit so as to make your point. Will you accept that?

We are all a bunch of good guys and hope you'll come out to a meet or drive in the future so you can meet the group.

Let me put it this way. If it had been any other car, I would have called the chp. In 12 years I've never done that or felt the need.
The weekend yahoos on 17 put everyone in danger. A little self policing can go a long way. Maybe mention it to the other guys next time you meet.
I'll try to stay in the loop and meet up, and I'll keep my yap shut. I'm interested in seeing several at once comparing wheels and such. I don't know what I want to get...
Thanks
