I dont think its right to set up another drive on this day.
If people are still going to this then I'll change the date.
This was posted so long ago that I'm sure most people forgot just like myself.
-In the future-
If you don't want other things scheduled on the same day then you have to make an effort and PM me so I can add it to the calendar of upcoming events. This is really the only way to prevent this from happening.

I agree and I would never intentionally overlap two drives.

I can't wait to come back and drive my car again. All I got to drive was a big Toyota Hulux truck.

I'm 95% in.
There's also an M5/5-series/6-speed-online related meet that same day/time starting at foothill college at 10AM with estimated turnout of ~ 60 cars.
Would it make sense for us to combine forces with this meet, then do our own s2k drive?

Thanks for the help Casey.
Guys - We have planned a casual get together for some of the local BMW guys, but somehow it's spread to a few other car forums and now the list has grown quite large.
I'd like to extend our meet to include all of you, just show up, hang out and chit chat. Feel free to cruise along with us, we'll most likely break up into separate groups when it's time to drive just so there wouldn't be a massive traffic jam.
Here is the prelim itinerary for Saturday Aug 21st:
1) Meet at 10AM at Foothill College - 12345 S El Monte Rd, Los Altos
2) Depart by 11AM sharp for the drive
3) Tentative drive route: 280N to 92S to 35/Skyline Blvd South to 84/La Honda Rd to Portolla Rd to Sandhill Rd and end up at Stanford Shopping Center.
- The route is about 44 miles but through Skyline, 84 and closer to Sandhill, there'll be some nice twisties reducing our speed. Yahoo Map says about 1hr 10mins.
4) Lunch at PF Changs in the Stanford Shopping Center at 1PM http://www.pfchangs....=9911&checked=1
- This gives us a 2hr window for the drive as well as to regroup/relax and chit chat for a bit after the drive before lunch.
- PF Changs is located in the Stanford Shopping Center's parking lot near the corner of El Camino Real and Quarry Rd
- We did this a while back and there was plenty of parking even on a Sat at noon.
A few things to note:
1) Please bring two-way radios
2) When adding your name to the list below, please also put how many people for lunch
3) We'll be ordering family style for everyone to share and will just divide the bill by the number of people eating so bring cash to make things easier.
4) Pay as you go for any alcohol
5) PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY AND RESPECT EVERYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD. When we did this similar route last time, we had 65 cars so you can imagine how crowded things were with just our group on the road.
Hope to see you all there!
Dan
