Default San fran renting

Me and a friend of mine just traveled across county from jacksonville Fl, with all of her stuff in a Penske truck so she can attend the academy of art. Finding decent priced rental here is a pain in the but, anyone have any suggestion or know anyone that may be able to help, we're looking around the 1300 dollar price range for a studio. We're running out of time and money, Im do back at work in jacksonville on monday, but i'm not about to leave her out here on the street so I may need a temp job as well, any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, rents in SF are sky high. A couple of years ago they were relatively flat, but since then they have climbed even as the real estate market is slow. Your friend might have to compromise a bit on location. Craiglist is your best bet though for rentals though. You can also check out citiapartments.

For 1300 you might be able to get into a small inlaw in the Sunset, but don't bet on getting an apt anywhere near downtown...except probably somewhere in the Tenderloin.

In SF a 1100 sq ft inlaw near sea cliff ran you about 1300, just an idea what you can get with 1300 now days. But i know some ppl with 1500 got a garage and atleast 1500sq ft of apt in sunset.
