Word, should stock up water and food whenever one gets a chance. Who knows when will the next big earthquake or major catastrophe coming to SF or elsewhere.
And people ask why I carry a CLS bag and first aid kit in my car...

a couple of friends and I actually drove around San Bruno collecting donations and purchasing coffee, water, and donuts for the firefighters and EMT patrolling the area. We were able to pick up some supplies and drop them off at the stations dedicated for the disaster workers as well as the shelters for those who have been evacuated. If anyone is interested, they are also going to be setting up a type of clean-up crew for the aftermath as soon as the police give the word that it is okay to enter the area.
I just got home, but I'm feeling a little bit better now that I am doing my civic duty as a citizen.

We used to live right up near Skyline College so I can imagine how bad traffic is up in that area with congenstion. If you are planning to go out there to help just plan ahead so you can take a safe route.
Houses there are so close together which probably makes it worse
Good stuff Brian to see you volunteering!
