no , i know what u guys mean, i work at progressive, so the prices u guys are talking about, im assuming at least, are either blue book, auto trader, or maybe u payed an ind apraiser...

i had an 01 that blue book said was worth 15k (high miles) but there are other ways of determining value of a car...for example BLUEBOOK said i should have gotten 14 on a trade... (never trade by the way b/c bluebook is a joke to dealerships) they have their own program that showed the wholesale value at 8...now most dealerships will not show u this number because it gives u an idea of how much they are making on ur car...secondly any finance insitution uses the exact same program to determe approval of loans...when i got my loan for my m3... they also showed me the wholesale (45k) and i asked the lady if she could show me the value of my S if i were to trade it in or get a loan on it...it was again 8 k... so i decided to go back and check audotex and nada evaluator back at my office... wholesale was about 8.5, adjusted was 15 and some other numbers...

trust me i know because ive been there... i saw kbb and wanted no less than 15 for my car, however, i probably never would have gotten it if there are cars like urs that for 1k more they get 20k less miles...

16 sounds like a reasonable starting point for negotiation for the car u are trying to sell...
but like i said, best of luck, i really hope u get every bit of money u are asking for your car... anyways. i didnt mean any offense by it.

also
according to my nada eval at work... u get an extra 1k for low miles!!! (this is if i was totalling your car)

so ur car is worth as follows

trade ...............loan.........................retail

14775................13,300..................17000
15.700...............14225....................1800 0 -----adjusted

so at a minimum ur car is worth 15700, the most u should pay if bought from a dealer is 18000...loan is complicated but generally less 3k is close to wholesale....

just some random info
