I would love to connect - I have a 2003 that needs a soft top replacement. Am fine with a wait (though I do have to now track the weather to make sure it is parked in the garage )

CV Bucket Swap
Through my own research, I found that I was having vibration on hard acceleration, which was worse when turning the car to the right, so I suspected the CV joint on my car which has 104,000 miles on it.
Mike worked on my 05' s2000 on December 5 for the CV Bucket Swap. Very well done, professional, personable. Drove out to his place and hung out in the garage for the 2.5 hour job. He drove it first to confirm, and then did the job. Post swap, the vibration was gone, and I V-TEC'ed it all the way back up to sac to see if the vibration would come back, and it did not, and still has not after some canyon runs. Pricing was VERY reasonable, especially since the dealership wanted to replace my axles for $2,200 parts and labor, I saved a ton of money on that.
I would recommend him without reservation.

If you guys are looking to replace your soft tops, then Mike is your guy! My car looks like it just came out of the dealer showroom now. Can't say enough how pleased I am with the results. From cleaning/vacuuming the interior, wiping down EACH interior piece, and providing wifi, snack/drinks, and a restroom... I couldn't be happier. Just make sure to dress warm as it can be brisk out in Discovery Bay.

(We made contact)
Yes of course I am still doing tops. I have actually been scheduling 3-4 months out on top replacements, I know it’s a bit of a wait but this is my weekend job and I want to continue to work and save you guys money while providing professional installs. I am available here, IG, as well as FB messenger. I check my messages as often as possible, thanks for waiting.
Enjoy your cars fellas, it’s a easy way to smile during these rough times.

Just want to vouch for Mike as well. I've been around the forums for awhile so I've met some really great folks through here and Mike is one of them. I just got my top done by him a few days ago. I opted to have him come out to my location and I had him order the top as well. Everything was perfect. The new top looks great and the install was quick for the amount of work required. Since I ordered the top through Mike, he said he would remain the main point of contact if anything comes up, basically he'll deal with the vendor if a warranty claim needs to be made which I thought was great for that extra layer of service. Highly recommend Mike.

Born replaced my top this weekend and I cannot recommend him more highly. He works with a level of detail that I have seldom seen before and he did an absolutely amazing job with the installation. He also offered a lot of good advice about using and maintaining the top to get maximum life from it. On top of this, he is a really nice guy who is very knowledgable about S2000s and many other cars. A true car guy who is really fun to spend time with. If your top needs replacing and you live in the Bay Area, don't look anywhere else.
