I think I read the Automobile article. It's the one that had the S2000, Boxster, 350Z (convertible), and Z4, right? If that's the one, then it was pretty short, and they called the 350Z a grand tourer, and liked the Boxster the best. Comments on the S2000 were that it was better suited for the track.

The two buttons behind the "cup holder" are for the defroster and the head-light washer that is required in other countries (such as European countries) but not in the USA.

According to this month's Road & Track, and other megazines, they had compared all the roadsters, (Porshe Boxter, BMW Z4, MBZ SLK, Honda S2000, Audi TT, and finally Nissan 350Z Conv.) and the overall winner is the Honda S2000.

Did R&T do that article too or are you talking to this one in Car and Driver?

I can vouch for that. I hit 148 (on the track of course) before backing off. It had PLENTY more. Only thing is... there could be a rev limiter (that I've never heard of).

I did see (on this site) a video from Belgium of a guy hitting 167 Mph.... well actually 270 kph (showed the Speedometer)

That's pretty close to the theoretical top speed which is around 170 mph

Make that 3 magazines. It's official; I just checked the sites of the 3 mags... R&T, C&D and Automotive.

Wow... never rains but it pours.

I'm glad that the Track version of the 350Z will not be available in a convertible.
