Similar story - Was having lunch at the Lobster Shack in RWC. Parked my newly purchased Sliverstone + Blk/Red AP2 next to a similarly colored BMW 650i. Mid 40's patron walks out of the restaurant and he couldn't take his eyes off my S. Victory indeed.

Wasn't with an R8, but my stock S2k also catches the eye no matter where it's parked, too.

R8 is nice, perhaps the guy already owned one and wants an S

New V10 model is out, amazing how "cheap" you can buy the older V8 model for nowadays...hehe

Maybe these people are looking at the S2k as an "Affordable Dream Car", not just a dream car, you know one that they can actually strive to obtain,.. a realistic goal?
