The "hard launch" 0 - 60 mph time may be the same, but the street start is much better. 5 - 60 mph for the 350z is only 5.7 seconds. I believe it takes the S2K about 6.2 seconds to go from 5 - 60 mph.

After racing a Stang GT (stock 260hp, ~255 ft-lbs torque), I know the importance of torque, even though I won, barely. We both rolled off the line and the GT jumped me a good 1.25 car length. Redlined 1st, caught up half a length, redlined 2nd, almost even, redlined 3rd, got him 1/2 length, and he shut it down cause we were merging to one lane. BTW, we were on an express way, with no pedestrians on the street. I won cause the road was long, almost a quarter mile.
So, I would say the 350z is a better car if you are into stop light to stop light racing, unless you are willing to drop @ 6-7K and make a scene on public street.s
If you are into mountain driving and track racing (If you are better than average), S2K is a better car.
