Then, if that doesn't work coming out to one of our meets to determine how far you wanna go along the car audio spectrum. Some of us have just added rears powered by the stock deck, some have just switched out the deck/fronts, and some have gone all-out w/amps, subs and the like....
Listen to figure out how much you think you need, determine a budget and then go from there.
BTW...what does the HK stereo consist of?

So HK has 10 speakers, amp, and equlizer i think.
and i think total watt is 250 or something like that.
if i just want to change the door speakers and the tweeters, add a amp, and
spend about 1500 to 2000 doing that, do you think it would be better then
HK sound system? oh and add a new head unit.
do you know what i have to do to make the remote work if i get a new head unit?

I spent around 1500 for my stereo upgrades.........but that was a substantial discount through a friend in the east bay.
I will be at the drive on the 31st, so if anyone wants to check out my stereo, I am sure he can provide a similar price.....Im running an alpine headunit, replaced side speakers, a jlw6 (12) in a custom box in the back, with a RF 500bd digital amp, and another amp to the speakers. Its a pretty good install, and I still have trunk space.
