Default S2000 Registration Fee

Okay, so I just paid my reg fee for my 2006 S2000. My fee was due on September 24th and I paid $249 and I have personal license plates. If I didn't have the plates, my fee would b a lot closer to about $200.

I was wondering if anyone with a 2006 or higher year is paying more or less than $200 to register.

Thanks

Oh and if I remember correctly, if I had regular plates, my fee would decrease by $43 or so. So, that would have made my fee $206.

Well, my reg fee was reduced because of that bill passed for CA. At first my reg fee was over $300. Also, I paid $26k for my new S2k before tax, lic and doc fees.

Here's the info on my 2004 Honda s2000 registration, recently received it:

$69= registration fee
$18= license fee
$0= weight fee
$38= special plate fee
$24= county/district fees
$0= owner responsibility fee

Total = $149 (that's with the special plate fee)

EDIT: My car is a salvage!

So, based on my break down, are people seeing the biggest increase based on year of their car (probably represented in the "registration fee"), or is there also a big disparity in the "county/district" fees?

Also, the special plate fee is different based on whether you have the background image, or a "kids" plate (symbols). Mine is $38, and I only have the basic white plate with normal lettering.
