S2000 Pulls during acceleration
Just got RE050s on my 2004 S2k. Horrible pull left followed by a wiggle during acceleration.
Corrected pressure down and retorqued the lugs. Improved a little.
Took it to Big O to have alignment checked again (Honda of Oakland sold me the tires and did the first alignment). They matched all of the numbers side to side (toe, camber) except front caster is off by .5 degrees (lower in the left). Big Os before #s raise suspicion on Oaklands after #s.
Anyway, much improved after second alignment. Still pulls a little to the left. Has anyone else encountered this?
I am reading that it could be due to rear tire conicity or a rear diff problem. Any advice?

I had the same problem with my race tires. When I accelerated, it would pull to the right or left. But with my street tires/wheels, it drives in a straight line. Do you have another set of wheels to try?

you know, when i had the re050's on my car. i noticed that on the freeway, when i would let go of the gas, say going about 70 mph. right when i let go of the gas. the rear felt like it was shifting. i changed them out and now the car feels normal.
i dont think you have the same problem. but i didnt like the re050s.

Two possibilities are unequal pressures, or a slipped belt. Does it feel like the pull is in the steering, or coming from the rear tires? Have you checked the tire pressures?
Try switching the left and right rear tires and see if there is a change in behavior.
Then try switching the left and right front tires.
If there is no change, then it may be alignment, or just weirdness on that particular road. Does is happen on every road?

Turns out the rear tires are not the same designation. One is an MOExtended designed for Mercedes. Different tread pattern and sidwall profile. Now I have to get Hond of Oakland to make it right.
